We took a boat ride along this section of the Myakka River.

While we were on the Myakka we went past "Bird Island". Bird Island is a small island that is covered with nesting birds. Mostly wood storks but there were also great egrets and cormorants.
We also saw a Great Blue Heron nesting high in a tree.
